I’ve slacked off a bit with monthly updates for cancer awareness. *blushes* I’ve jumped back into it in the month containing the most cancers for the entire year. As I have since coming full circle, I will not go into full detail for all the cancers, and will instead push you towards last year’s entry: September Cancer Awareness.
September is my favorite month, as it highlights my own ovarian cancer. You can find out more about ovarian cancer on my own resource page. Also, I’d like to share the following page so everyone can find the perfect teal nail polish color for their teal toes:
Teal Toes – Have you seen women rocking teal toenails in September? Did you know it was to raise awareness for ovarian cancer? This site has materials you can hand out when people ask about your teal toes. Also, it has a handy guide to how to find the best teal nail polish colors among the popular brands!
Besides ovarian cancer, September also brings awareness to all gynecological cancers, childhood cancer, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, thyroid cancer, and prostate cancer. Before being hit next month with a whole lot of pink ribbons, take the time this month to post some ribbons from these cancers on your facebook page or twitter account. Or you can go old school and pin a ribbon on your clothes at work or while you’re out to show some support, and spread awareness.
As always, know your body!
