Hopefully some fellow “crafty” women are making it to this blog. For those who don’t already know, ProvoCraft unveiled their new Cricut family product at the CHA this weekend! It looks like they are targeting bakers instead of scrapbookers, cardmakers, and paper crafters. Check it out:

While some bakers have already been using Cricuts to cut fondant, gum paste and Sugar Veil , this seems to be a much more sanitary solution. Notice the guard over the buttons, which protect it from the food. The cartridge holder also seems to have a protective covering. And the big thing, no rollers! (Which were a problem, as they had to be moved/removed to prevent marking on whatever medium you were cutting.) Also, there is apparently a special mat, which I’m hoping it a cleaner solution and food safe.
Here’s a picture of the cartridge included (agh, another exclusive!)

In addition, PC is supposedly releasing over 100 new cartridges this year, as well as a great supply of Cuttlebug items. Check everything out at http://www.cricut.com. While you’re there, check out the message boards!
Happy crafting!
