My days are getting monotonous. The hernia pain gets worse if I sit or stand, because that’s when it pops though the muscle. So, I have to lay down pretty much all day, unless I have to get up for obvious necessities.
It seems like an eternity to wait until I see the doctor on the 17th, and then it will be more time until they coordinate the surgery between the two doctors. I fear, sometimes, that I will become too dependent on the Vicodin I need to keep the pain manageable.
I am also dismayed because these latest developments mean I will miss Buddy’s graduation (yes, he graduates Junior High next week!) I had so been looking forward to this. But, since I can’t sit up, and people push and shove to get out of there, I can’t risk going and getting hurt more. Thank goodness for camcorders!
I will be glad to get all of this medical stuff behind me and start moving on with my life!
