I know, this is the first mention of the Gypsy on my blog, so far. But I am just so excited that it is being released in Michael’s TOMORROW! (And I believe HSN will be debuting on Thursday.)
For those of you who do not know about this new crafting “toy”….get your heads out of the sand! 😀 The Gypsy is put out by ProvoCraft, and works along with your Cricut (and computerized die cutting machine.) Up until now, you would have to swap out cartridges to cut different shapes/fonts. Each cartridge comes in a box with a book and overlay for the Cricut…and there are now around 100 cartridges! Myself? I own over 20. Even with my “small” amount, that is a lot of cartridges to lug around on the go. And even if you have the Cricut Design Studio software, they still make you put in each cartridge. Enter the Gypsy…it stores ALL of your cartridges on a machine around the size of a PSP! You can design like you would on the software, and never have to put another cartridge in again. The downfall? It costs $299 retail. Do I still want one? YES!
Looking to get one? (Can’t wait for Santa to bring mine!) My favorite online vendor of Cricut stuff is Hallmark Scrapbook. They have good prices, are reliable, and ship FAST! A link to the new Gypsy page: http://www.hallmarkscrapbook.com/cricut-gypsy-machine-accessories-c-238.html

And for those of you who would like to see some of my crafts done using the Cricut, stay tuned!
