Medical…

Well, as I hinted on Facebook already, today was not the most fun. It started last evening when I got hit with sharp abdominal pains. I tried to “sleep it off” hoping I would be okay in the morning. That plan did not go well. I woke up to more pain. My husband took me to the emergency room early this morning. The official diagnosis is they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They dosed me up with pain killers and anti-nausea meds (I was also nauseous) and then sent me home. No CT scan, nothing other than bloodwork. I was a bit discouraged, to say the least. They did instruct me to call my surgeon…whose office was a bit surprised they sent me home. They called back, stating they were going to track down my surgeon and talk to him to ask what he wants to do. They might end up sending me back to the ER, but I guess I won’t get that phone call until tomorrow at this point. So my time most of today was spent in a fog because of the sedative effects of the meds. I will try to contact pain management tomorrow, I guess. They need to know I was given “outside medication” anyhow. (They’re very watchful about that stuff.) For tonight, I am back to my regular painkillers, which are NOT working right now.
