Sorry for the lack of updates. I am recovering nicely from the hernia surgery. I ended up having to stay overnight, but I was actually relieved about that. It’s rough having surgery and then going home right away. (Especially when you live over 1 1/2 hours from the hospital…it’s a long ride home when you’re in pain.) I do have some pain that has been bothering me, so I might have to call the doctor about it.
On the bright side, I finally got to see a new doctor much closer to home. And next month I will see my new gyn. oncologist, again close to home. I guess that means that I am almost done with the whole medical commute!
Right now, we are getting ready to do another Relay For Life in June. My husband is a team captain this year! (For my son’s HS theater group.) If you are able, check out my husband’s Facebook page to donate, so Buddy’s group will get the credit. You can also donate directly from my Facebook page, but then it will not track to the team, because I am only listed as a survivor. Since the local PA Relays (unlike NJ) don’t give out t-shirts to everyone who participates, I am going to be creative and make my own t-shirts for myself and family members. My son’s team needs help, donation wise, so be on the lookout for fundraiser postings!
