Medical update

Yes, I know. It has been over a month since I last posted an update on the state of my health. I really wish I had something better to report. It seems that as each day passes, I feel worse. I cannot get out of bed long, without getting very dizzy and nauseous. Really, I only get up to use the restroom, and to see the doctors.

The rash has deteriorated into wounds now. One part is kinda healed, one is inhibited by bad tissue, and one is just growing into a deeper hole. The dermatologist visits are not helping much. I see a plastic surgeon on Wednesday to supposedly fix it once and for all. The blood work came back, and nothing. So they are officially clueless, there is no logical reason for the rash.

My oncologist sent me for a CT scan this past week. He is so sure it was going to show something, that he scheduled my surgeon’s appointment at the same time. I see him on Wednesday, as well. His theory is that there are tumors, and he thinks the mesh might be infected, as well, with a possible abscess. Thankfully my oncologist and my surgeon are friends and are game to teaming up together for a surgery. They’ve done it before.

On a side note, while I was getting my CT scan, I was exposed to someone who was sick, and since my immune system is completely crashed, I picked up whatever he had.

I will try to give better updates. At this point, I’ve been feeling ill over 10 weeks. I am very frustrated, to say the least. But, I just keep telling myself that everything is on God’s time, not my own.
