Updates

Well, as usual, the holidays have been hectic. Before I even realize it, time has gotten away from me. But, I wanted to at least put a more recent update on everyone.

Buddy: His recovery is going well. He has already returned to school. There have been a few bad days where he was too sore to get through the day and had to be picked up, but he is doing very well, considering!

Sierra: Some good news for Sierra, as well. She has finally been put on some Fibromyalgia medicine. They were kinda holding off on it, as they don’t like to give them to anyone under 18, but at this point it was affecting her sleep. This is major progress.

Brian: He has been suffering anemia, big time. Through various tests, they still have not figured where the blood loss is coming from. We had to get him a new specialist, and he will probably have to go through yet another colonoscopy and endoscopy. Otherwise, he did get a new medicine…to keep him awake during the day. His sleep apnea affects him to the point of where he is falling asleep during work and on the road. Since starting the new meds, he is doing well, and no sleeping episodes.

Me: As for me, everything is the same. No better, but no worse. The good news, though, is I found out last week my disability was approved!!! Believe me, I am relieved that this is all over. They have to do some back-office processing, but hopefully I will see both my first payment, as well as my backpay, in the next month or so.
