What is wrong with these doctors?!

Well, I still have no surgery date scheduled. The tentative dates (8th and 9th) from before were canceled. Apparently, the surgeon who is taking care of my hernia is cooperating. We’ve been talking to her scheduler almost daily. My urologist oncologist is another matter. His scheduler actually started yelling at my husband and the phone, saying my doctor wasn’t even doing a surgery for me (what?), and has not returned my calls. She also will not cooperate with the other doctor’s scheduler.

As a background, I need to have both surgeries at once, per my regular (gyn.) oncologist for my primary cancer. So they needed to find a day and time where both can do this at once. I got frustrated, especially after the girl yelled at, and called my gyn. oncologist’s nurse. She said she’d talk to my doctor and see if she can talk to the other doctor. She told me, however. that he recently stopped working out of the cancer institute, and moved over to the surgical center across from the hospital. (Incidentally, the same building where my hernia surgeon is!) Well, he used to have two schedulers – one for the general surgery and one for his cancer institute patients. Now, since he stopped taking appointments out of the cancer center, his surgical scheduler is handling both sets of patients! My nurse then said it is possible that that scheduler has not gotten the files from the cancer institute yet…and maybe she really does NOT know I am his patient. *sigh* Okay, well maybe that gives her an excuse, but not for the yelling.

Meanwhile, I am still taking the Vicodin for the pain. And I have to lie down all day…not fun! When will this end? I just want to get it over with, move on with my life, go back to work.
